QBase Import
MIG: Have you seen the new "Analytics" sub-tab of attributes on the individual account profile? You can now use Andar Connector to mass-import Analytics data from organizations such as QBase directly into Andar. Analytics data include information such as suggested giving amounts, net worth, etc. In Andar, this information can be placed on your account dashboard and data mined as well.

Foundation Gifts
MIG: Private foundation gifts can be tricky. You probably want to thank and recognize the founder as well as executive directors but financially speaking, the gift is from foundation so it must be recorded against the foundation account. With Andar's gift relationships, you can thank and recognize as many people as you wish for a single gift.

Gifts From Law Firms
MIG: Do you receive gifts from law firms where multiple partners need to be recognized? With Andar's gift relationships, you can not only send thank you letters to all partners, but you can also add the gift to the partners' leadership totals.

MIG Versus CRM
They are very different! CRM software is essentially a sales tool that helps you track your leads and follow-ups. Andar can do much of that now using simple communication logs and integration with MSOutlook. Andar's MIG module offers many additional processing functions normally not provided by CRM software. They include:
  • Add gift relationships to thank multiple people for a single gift
  • Add gift relationships to recognize multiple people as leaders for a single gift.
  • Support Foundations by linking the donor and his/her foundation on gifts.
  • Payment schedules including specific dates with specific amounts.
  • Implementation of Moves Management strategies involving linkage, ability, and interests as well as systematic tracking of touch points.
  • Import and storage of donor level analytics and wealth information from QBase or other research firms.
  • Account level access to live news feeds.
  • Quick access to account statistical information on dashboards.
  • Tracking of competitive gifts.
  • Support for automated step-up program management.
  • Tracking of donors' preferred giving month.
  • Hot Buttons to alert staff of critical account situations.
  • Automated Workflow management including controls for communications, surveys, touch points, data mining and sub-plans.
  • Preparation of printer ready donor profile reports and CEO call reports.
  • Easy view of a donor's circle of friends.
and much more.

The MIG module is continuing to grow and additional functions are being released with every service pack.

Please remember that 80% of your CRM strategy has nothing to do with software! It's all about people and process. Everyone says it, yet they immediately move the conversation to software. Software will not magically implement CRM for you. Without a firm strategy in place, the implementation of any CRM software is doomed. If CRM is intended to build relationships, shouldn't an enterprise-wide integrated strategy work better than additional software silos and duplicated data?

New Colorful Dashboards
Patch 2009.02.01 changes the way dashboards are painted. Now you'll be able to set different background colors on each of your dashboard and bio tab items to enhance focus, draw attention or just make it look nicer. Very light colors work best.
