Loyal Contributors
Many of you want to store the year that donors first gave. This is best stored as a date under the attributes tab of the donor's account. To ensure that everyone codes this the same way, the next patch of Andar (to be released next week) will include a new system-provided "Loyal Contributor" date type that everyone can use. The age will also be added to the table listing all dates so you'll be able to add it to your dashboards to quickly see the number of years the donor has been giving.

Default Tab
Did you know you can right-click on any tab of an account to make it the default so that the next time you open an account, that tab will be shown first? Similarly, you can also setup a default sub-tab for each tab.

Enhancement Requests
Customers often request price quotes for custom enhancements to Andar. These are always prepared as a fixed price and not an estimate. In order for us to guarantee the price, we need to understand the requirements and the extent of the changes that will be required. This can take a considerable amount of time (often days) to just prepare the quote. We have found that 90% of the quotes requested never get approved by the customer.

We have therefore decided to change our enhancement request procedure to include a two-step quoting process. Starting now, we will first prepare a very rough, free estimate which we will e-mail to the customer. Should the customer wish to proceed with a fixed price quote but fail to approve it, a small fee will be charged for the preparation of the quote. If the quote is approved, the fee will be waived.
